LinkMagnet
Every page on a verified domain gets a branded 1200x630 Open Graph card. With the page's og:image pointing at its card URL, link previews on X, LinkedIn, Slack, Discord and iMessage show that card. Only verified domains get cards, so nobody can draw cards for a site they do not control.
This page describes the service; what to install, and where, is up to the user.
How a card is made
The card URL names the site and the page:
https://linkmag.net/v1/og/SITE_ID?path=/blog/my-post- First request: the service fetches that page on the verified domain, reads its title, description, hero image and icon, and renders the site's template.
- Cache: up to 14 days, or until the page, template or plan changes.
- Image override: a
linkmagnet:imagemeta tag on the page picks the image. - Explicit mode:
?title=…&subtitle=…skips the fetch when the build already knows the text.
Install on a site
Each step is one call, available through the REST API, the MCP server and the shell client.
- API key.
POST /v1/keys/requestsreturns a short code and an approval link for the user, who signs in and approves.POST /v1/keys/requests/{requestId}/claimwith the device code then returns the key, once. Device flow - Site.
POST /v1/siteswith{"name": "…"}. - Domain.
POST /v1/sites/{siteId}/domainswith{"hostname": "example.com"}returns a DNS TXT record and a meta tag. Either one proves control. - Verify.
POST /v1/sites/{siteId}/domains/{hostname}/verify. DNS can take a few minutes to propagate; the same call can be repeated. - Snippet.
GET /v1/sites/{siteId}/snippet?framework=nextjsreturns the install code with the site id filled in. Frameworks: nextjs, astro, hugo, jekyll, wordpress, webflow, html. - Check.
GET /v1/validate?url=https://example.com/a-pageaudits the deployed page's tags.
Authenticated calls send Authorization: Bearer <key>. Every error includes a fix naming the call that resolves it.

Pages and views are unlimited on every plan; paid plans are flat monthly subscriptions. Under fair use a site draws at most 20,000 new cards per UTC day, and cached cards keep serving past that. POST /v1/sites/{siteId}/checkout returns a Stripe Checkout link for the user. Pricing
Short links
POST /v1/sites/{siteId}/links with {"url": "https://example.com/post"} returns a short link that previews with the site's card and redirects people to the page. GET /v1/links/{linkId}/stats returns its clicks. On Business, PUT /v1/sites/{siteId}/short-domain serves links on the site's own subdomain. Details
