Terms of Service

These Terms explain what LinkMagnet offers, what we expect from users, and the boundaries around short links, analytics, and AI-assisted preview tools.

Last updated October 30, 2026 · California-based and independently operated

1. Who we are

LinkMagnet is an online service operated by Dario Rapisardi (Pants AI), an individual based in California, USA. In these Terms, LinkMagnet, we, us, and our refer to the operator of LinkMagnet.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to use LinkMagnet. If you use LinkMagnet on behalf of a company, team, or other organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that entity to these Terms.

Some features require an account. You are responsible for the activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure.

If you sign in with a social provider (Google or Facebook) using an email address already associated with an existing LinkMagnet account, the two accounts will be linked automatically.

You can create API keys for your account, or approve a key request that an agent or program starts. Anyone holding one of your keys can manage your sites as you, so you are responsible for every key you create or approve and for what is done with it. Approve a request only if you started it yourself, keep keys secret, and revoke any key you no longer need or suspect has leaked. Keys do not expire; they work until you revoke them. An account can hold up to 25 active keys.

3. What LinkMagnet provides

LinkMagnet helps users create short links, inspect Open Graph tags, generate or improve social preview copy and creative, and review analytics related to short-link activity.

LinkMagnet also provides an Open Graph card service. Signed-in users register a site, prove control of its hostnames through a DNS record or a meta tag, and point their pages' og:image tags at a LinkMagnet card URL. When a social platform or other client requests that URL, we fetch the page on the verified hostname, read its title, description and images, and return a rendered preview image. Cards render only for verified hostnames.

Every site starts on the Free plan, which includes one verified domain, with a small LinkMagnet badge on each card. Pages and views are unlimited on every plan, under the fair-use terms in section 6. Paid plans are described in section 4.

Short links can be created only for pages on a site's verified hostnames that serve cards on its plan, up to 10,000 links per site. A person who opens a short link is redirected to the page. Link-preview services and search-engine crawlers that fetch it receive the page's title and description, as read when the link was created, with the site's card as the image. Deleting a site deletes its short links and their statistics. Links created before sites existed no longer redirect. Those created without an account are retired. Those created from an account open a page that shows where the link goes, and the visitor chooses whether to continue; they keep their statistics. No new links can be created outside a site. We may block any short link that breaks these Terms, for example one that leads to phishing, malware or spam; a blocked link stops working.

The card service is also available to programs and AI agents through a REST API, a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server and a command-line client. Calls that read or change your sites need an API key; auditing a public URL and starting a key request do not. Public pages are also served as markdown to clients that ask for it and to some AI assistants.

We may add, remove, pause, or change features at any time as the service evolves.

4. Paid plans, billing and cancellation

Pro (12 USD per month) and Business (49 USD per month) are subscriptions for one site each, sold by LinkMagnet and billed through Stripe; charges appear on card statements as LINKMAG.NET, though some banks display it differently. Pro includes 3 verified domains, an optional badge, AI captions and cache purge; Business includes 15 verified domains, everything in Pro and a custom short-link domain. Each is a flat monthly price: card renders, pages and views are not metered or billed. Prices are in US dollars and do not include taxes; if we are required to collect sales tax, VAT or similar taxes, they will be shown at checkout and on your invoice.

A subscription renews automatically every month at the then-current price until you cancel it. The renewal terms are shown next to the payment button and you must accept these Terms before paying; we also email you a confirmation with the renewal terms and how to cancel. You can cancel at any time in Manage billing on the site page (the Stripe customer portal); cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid, and the site then returns to the Free plan. Payments are not refundable for partial periods, except where the law requires otherwise. We will give at least 30 days' notice by email before a price change takes effect on an existing subscription.

Business also includes one custom short-link domain: a subdomain of a verified domain, such as go.example.com, that you point at LinkMagnet with a CNAME record (and a TXT verification record, if our hosting provider asks for one). We attach it to our hosting provider, which issues its TLS certificate. It serves links only while the site is on Business and the parent domain is verified and covered by the plan. Otherwise, or when the site is deleted, it stops serving at once and we detach it within about an hour: links shared on that domain stop working, while the same links keep working at linkmag.net/s/…. After an upgrade, the domain has to be added again. Removing the DNS record afterwards is up to you; a record left pointing at our hosting provider could later be claimed by someone else.

On the Free plan the LinkMagnet badge returns, AI captions stop, the custom short-link domain stops serving and is removed, and only the oldest verified domain serves cards.

Switching between Pro and Business takes effect immediately and starts a new billing period: Stripe invoices that day for the new plan and credits the unused part of the old price. Switching from Business to Pro removes the custom short-link domain. If a payment fails, Stripe retries it; during the retries the paid plan stays in place, and if the payment still fails the subscription is cancelled and the site returns to the Free plan, with the unpaid invoice still due. A site with an active subscription cannot be deleted until the subscription is cancelled and its period has ended, and a site cannot be deleted while its custom short-link domain cannot be detached from our hosting provider; retry later.

Programs and agents using your API key can create a checkout link or a billing portal link, but only a person who completes payment on Stripe can start a subscription; switching plans requires you to be signed in on the website. Anyone holding your API key can open the billing portal for your sites, where a subscription can be cancelled and invoices and the billing address can be seen.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use LinkMagnet in a way that harms users, platforms, or our infrastructure.

  • Do not use LinkMagnet for phishing, malware, scams, spam, impersonation, or other deceptive conduct.
  • Do not shorten or redirect to content that is unlawful, infringing, abusive, or intentionally harmful.
  • Do not shorten or redirect to adult or sexually explicit content, and do not render cards for pages containing it.
  • Do not register or verify hostnames you do not control, and do not point another site's og:image tags at your card URLs.
  • Automated access through the documented API, MCP server and command-line client is permitted within the limits we set. Do not scrape the website at scale, reverse engineer the service, bypass limits, or gain unauthorized access, and do not use the validator or the API to fetch third-party sites at volume, to probe networks, or to get around another site's access controls.
  • Do not use LinkMagnet in a way that could create legal exposure, security risk, or operational instability for the service or other users.

6. Fair use of the card service

Pages and views are unlimited on every plan, under fair use. Cards are for pages you publish on your own verified domains. The card service is not a general image-generation, rendering or proxy backend: you may not use it to generate images at scale for content that is not your own published pages, for example by having a bot mint cards through explicit-mode parameters.

Each site can draw a limited number of new cards per day (UTC), stated on the pricing page. Past that limit, no new cards are drawn that day: the card URL points to the page's own og:image when it has one, or asks the requester to retry later. Cards already cached keep serving. This limit exists to prevent abuse and is not billed.

If a site or account uses the card service in a way this section does not allow, we may rate-limit it, pause its card generation, or suspend the site or account under section 11.

7. Your content and inputs

You are responsible for the URLs, metadata, prompts, text, and other content you submit to LinkMagnet. You represent that you have the rights needed to use that content and that your use does not violate applicable law or third-party rights.

8. AI-assisted outputs

Some LinkMagnet features use AI services to suggest or generate preview text or creative. Those outputs can be inaccurate, incomplete, offensive, or unsuitable for your use case.

You are responsible for reviewing AI-assisted outputs before publishing, sharing, or relying on them.

10. Analytics and service availability

LinkMagnet may show analytics such as clicks, referrers, country codes, and device categories. Visits we identify as link-preview crawlers are not counted as clicks. These metrics are provided for informational purposes only and may not be complete, perfectly accurate, or available at all times.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the service, any minimum uptime, or compatibility with every third-party platform, browser, or destination site.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using LinkMagnet at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the service, specific links, or accounts if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created risk, or if we decide to change or discontinue the service.

12. Disclaimers

LinkMagnet is provided on an as is and as available basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or accurate.

We are not responsible for losses caused by destination websites, platform behavior, blocked links, inaccurate analytics, AI-generated outputs, or events outside our reasonable control.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LinkMagnet will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost goodwill, or lost data arising out of or related to the service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims arising out of or related to LinkMagnet will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim arose or 50 U.S. dollars.

14. Governing law and changes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of laws rules.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated version here and revise the last updated date. Your continued use of LinkMagnet after the updated Terms are posted means you accept them.
