How to Create an A/B Test with Facebook and LinkMagnet

Requirements

Step 1: Creating the LinkMagnet URL

    • Once you see the preview, click on the “Create Short URL” button below. Your shortened URL will look something like this: https://linkmag.net/s/dUzpMxUU

Step 2: Creating an A/B Test on Facebook

  1. Sign In:

    • Go to the Content section and find the A/B tests option. Click on the “Create A/B test button”.
  3. Set Up Test Versions:

    • For “Version A”, select Format “Link”, and post your original URL.
    • For “Version B”, select Format “Link” and post the LinkMagnet URL.
  4. Add Text:

    • In the “Text” field, enter the same text for both versions or leave it empty for simplicity.
  5. Choose Test Duration:

    • Click Next and set the test duration. If your page has significant traffic, a two-hour test is sufficient, otherwise, set it up to 24 hours.
  6. Launch the Test:

    • Publish the test! Facebook will then handle the A/B test for you, and the version that performs best will remain active.
